With greater visibility and improvements in interior space being top priorities, an interior for the car was created which carries the curves from the exterior design inside to ensure the cabin is a welcoming environment. By only displaying the most important information in Slim Display Mode (rev range, speed and gear) the driver?s already excellent forward visibility is further enhanced and the dashboard is given an even cleaner appearance. At the touch of a button next to the steering wheel, the driver can alternate between Full Display Mode and Slim Display Mode. When the Active Dynamics Panel is activated, the display defaults to Full Display Mode when in Comfort mode and Slim Display Mode when in Track mode. The customer can specify if the display defaults to Full Display Mode or Slim Display Mode when in Sport mode.
The foundations for the exterior design of the 720S are sophisticated, seamless and organic forms which appear to have been sculpted by the air flowing around it. Representing a huge progression the design language, this car breaks away from tradition but keeps the inherent McLaren DNA.
To give the driver maximum support, the angle of the airbrake will automatically change under braking. The rear spoiler creates 30% more downforce than the rear spoiler on the 650S.
The beating heart of the 720S is a new and fearsomely powerful M840T engine with 720PS. Press the start button and the twin-turbo V8 comes alive with a potent growl that ignites your senses and focuses your mind. Bathed in vibrant red light, every part of this 4.0-litre unit is refined to maximise power, sharpen responses, and increase fuel efficiency.
